Having met through a medieval/renaissance re-creation organization, The High Bridge Consort has developed into a semi-professional group who enjoy playing and performing early music (16th c and earlier).
We play a wide variety of early instruments - recorders, harps, viols, etc. - and perform in costumes appropriate to the venue. The photo above shows us wearing clothing from late 16th century/early 17th century England, from a Jamestown commemoration performance with the Reston Choral in 2007.
Below, we are shown with some of our other instruments, playing at the Alexandria First Night celebration in 2002, wearing Italian Renaissance clothing.
The group can be contacted at High-Bridge-Consort AT ravenstreet.org
